Systems for
modern work.
n40 STUDIO builds practical AI systems, digital infrastructure, and operational tools that turn complexity into momentum.
Built for the Limit.
A systems studio building for clarity and scale.
n40.ai is a focused studio practice built around one idea: that the best technology disappears into the work it supports. We design and build systems that organize complexity — AI tools, automation workflows, knowledge platforms, and the infrastructure that connects them.
The approach is rooted in systems thinking: understanding how parts connect, where friction lives, and what it takes to create lasting operational clarity. Every system built here starts with a real problem and ends with something that works in practice.
Understanding connections, friction, and what it takes to create lasting clarity.
Every system is built for daily use — structured, scalable, and reliable.
The studio grows one well-built system at a time.
Operational systems across four disciplines.
Each discipline connects to the others — creating systems where intelligence, automation, knowledge, and infrastructure work as one.
AI Systems
Intelligent systems that process, reason, and act on complex information — built for practical use, not demos.
Automation Workflows
Structured pipelines that replace manual processes with reliable, repeatable operations across tools and teams.
Knowledge Platforms
Organized systems for capturing, connecting, and surfacing institutional knowledge where it matters most.
Digital Infrastructure
The foundational layer — APIs, data pipelines, deployment systems, and the connective tissue between tools.
Systems that build capacity.
n40.ai develops platforms that connect intelligence, execution, and long-term participation — turning complex environments into structured opportunity.
Aggregate
Aggregate was developed as an operations intelligence system designed to consolidate visibility across a portfolio of production sites representing approximately 13 million tonnes of output. The system brought multiple sites into a more unified operating picture and established the framework for broader national deployment of a platform built on the same model. Beyond the scale of the environment, the project demonstrated the ability to create a level 3 system with level 1 resources — delivering high-value operational structure, visibility, and strategic leverage under tight constraints.
Multi-Site Visibility
Consolidated operational awareness across a distributed portfolio of production sites into a single coherent view.
13M Tonne Production Context
Designed for a portfolio representing approximately 13 million tonnes of annual output across multiple facilities.
Unified Operating Picture
Brought fragmented site-level data into a structured, portfolio-wide intelligence layer for leadership use.
National Deployment Framework
Established the architectural foundation and operational model for broader national rollout across the organization.
Lean-Resource Execution
Delivered enterprise-grade operational intelligence under constrained conditions — a level 3 system built with level 1 resources.
Enterprise Systems Thinking
Applied scalable systems architecture to an industrial environment where reporting typically lacks strategic integration.
Builds operational intelligence, not just interfaces
Creates structure across complex production portfolios
Designs scalable systems from lean conditions
Translates fragmented operations into a coherent strategic view
Delivers high-leverage systems in real industrial settings
Groundwork
Groundwork connects guided ideation, project structuring, grant discovery, planning tools, contractor brokerage, and Indigenous-governed intelligence infrastructure into a unified pathway from concept to execution. Rather than treating development as short-term project participation, the platform is designed to build long-term Indigenous enterprise capacity inside a sovereign, community-controlled ecosystem.
AI Project Charters
AI-supported ideation that helps community members shape raw ideas into structured, fundable project charters.
Funding Discovery
Automated grant and funding discovery matched to project scope, eligibility criteria, and community priorities.
Planning Workflows
Structured planning and execution tools that move projects from concept through milestones to delivery.
Contractor Brokerage
Matching and coordination layer that connects projects with qualified contractors and builds delivery consortiums.
Consortium Formation
Tools for assembling multi-party delivery teams around large-scale infrastructure and development opportunities.
BOREAL Intelligence Integration
Direct connection to the BOREAL geospatial platform for regional context, spatial analysis, and opportunity mapping.
Sovereignty-Aware Governance
OCAP-aligned data governance direction ensuring community control over knowledge, data, and decision architecture.
Community Knowledge Architecture
Indigenous-governed intelligence infrastructure that keeps institutional knowledge within community control.
Designs ecosystems, not just applications
Connects software, services, and governance into one operating model
Turns ideas into executable, funded projects
Links opportunity to long-term enterprise formation
Builds platforms grounded in real organizational capability
Embeds sovereignty and data governance into system design
Delivered and active systems across industrial operations, construction, geospatial intelligence, and economic development.
View all workFrom first conversation to final delivery.
A deliberate process that keeps projects clear, collaborative, and well-structured — so you can move from early ideas to working systems with confidence.
Start the Conversation
Reach out by email, voice note, or a short intro session. Share the idea, the problem, or the outcome you want to create. No long forms — just a direct line.
You share what you're building and where you are in the process.
Initial Read
We turn your first input into a structured early interpretation — identifying direction, priorities, and likely scope so both sides have a clear starting point.
You receive a concise summary of how we understand your project.
Project Launch Session
If the direction feels strong, we schedule a short session to walk you through the Launchpad — a first-draft concept shaped from your context and our initial read. Something concrete to react to before anything is built.
You see the first shape of the project and give your honest reaction.
The Launchpad is a first-draft concept of your project, built from your initial context and early scope direction. It gives both sides something concrete to react to before full engineering begins.
Scope Alignment
We refine the direction together. Priorities, adjustments, and expectations are clarified so the scope is fully defined before the build begins.
You confirm what matters most and what the boundaries should be.
Quote and Timeline
Once the scope is aligned, we provide a clear quote and timeline. No ambiguity — you know exactly what you're getting, when, and at what cost.
You review and approve the plan before any engineering starts.
Engineering and Build
The project moves into execution. We build according to the agreed scope, priorities, and timeline — with structured check-ins along the way.
You stay informed as the work progresses.
Project Showcase
When the work is ready, we guide you through a dedicated showcase session. You see the full system, ask questions, and confirm it meets the standard.
You experience the finished work and provide final input.
Refinement and Delivery
If final amendments are needed, they are completed before handoff. The project is delivered cleanly and confidently — ready for real use.
You receive the final deliverable, fully polished.
